Intro to 3 times the charm

My name is Kris. I'm 25 yrs old and have been almost gastric bypassed 3 times. All started in 05 when a friend brought it up. I looked it up reachered and decided I wanted it. Thinking it was the easy way out. I was 230-235 then. Made apts met with the doctor. It didn't workout. 3 years later tried again, met with same doctor, filled out all the paperwork. Did not work out, once again. No insurance. I was 275 this time. 2012 came around, January 5th to be exact. I was more than ready this time. Met with same doctor for the 3rd time. It worked this time. Insurance approved. Paperwork done. I was all set. Just had to lose 20 pounds, in the diet he wanted. I was 294 pounds. Almost 300!! Scary moment. Well I also wanted to wait a few months. Until may. When time could be taken off work to recover from the big surgery. I started my diet that following monday, january 7th. I was going to lose double the amount he asked. I was ready this time. First saturday of every month was my apt and weigh in at the office. Febuarys weigh in, I lost 12 pounds. Weight 282. March came weighed in at 270. Met my goal set by doc. They were proud. April came around, I was already having second thoughts on if gastric bypass was really the right thing. I mean I was young and frankly scared of the operation. But it was something I wanted badly for 6-7 years. It was finally within reach. Why was I second guessing the surgery? I felt this way since march. Well aprils weigh in came in. I weighed 251-250 (she weighed me in 2 scales) as she was more than shocked on the scale. First scale read 250. I clearly remember her saying "is that right?" with tgis shocked look in her face. Then we headed to another scale. Hopped on. 251. She said it's right and that I am doing more than great. Well safe to say that did it. I had it in me the whole time. Just this time was my time. I was ready to do it on my own. I did not need a scary tool stapeling my tummy to get me where I wanted. I knew it wasn't going to be easy. Was going to be tough. I mean I went from eating fast food 5 days a week to only kfc grilled chicken and corn once every 2-3 weeks and of course subway. So april did it. I stopped going to my weigh ins. And entered the weight loss journey on my own. Safe to say, the third time really was the charm.
